Dragon Jewelry and Guardians
At The Moonlight Shop, I’ve recently added some incredible Dragon Jewelry…
…and since then, I’ve received numerous inquiries about Dragon Guardians. Although I’m not an expert, I aim to address the most frequently asked questions in this post.
What is a dragon guardian?
Dragons are inherently powerful beings, and one of their fundamental characteristics is a strong protective instinct. In folklore, dragons commonly guard treasures, but they also serve as protectors of people.
A dragon guardian is there to protect and guide you, much like an angel or spirit guide.
Once you open yourself to this connection, you may sense its presence and obtain valuable guidance.

Does everyone have a dragon guardian?
To put it simply; every person has the ability to attract a Dragon Guardian.
Since we are all unique individuals and there are plenty of spirit guardians available, not everyone’s guardian may be a dragon.
However, in my experience, those who resonate with dragon magic often have a dragon presence in their lives…
What is the best way to bond with your dragon?
Establishing a bond with your dragon guardian is a lifelong journey, but it’s important to recognize something first…
…it’s not about your choice; your dragon chooses you!
That being said, if you’re already interested in dragons, it’s likely your dragon guardian has made attempts to reach out to you.
If you believe this to be true, one of the most effective methods to connect is by utilizing dragon imagery. This can be displayed in various forms such as art on your walls, tattoos, or Dragon jewelry, like this Dragon Guardian Necklace available in our shop:

Personally, I favor the jewelry because it can be worn at all times and is less permanent than a tattoo (which has never been my preference).
Some things to keep in mind:
It may take years for a Dragon to decide to be someone’s Guardian. Just because you sense its presence, that doesn’t automatically mean it’s “Your Dragon.” It isn’t as straightforward as that.
At times, individuals can live their entire lives alongside a Dragon Guardian without ever realizing its existence…
Conclusion:
- A Dragon Guardian provides protection and guidance.
- A Dragon selects you; the process is not reversed.
- Developing a bond with your Dragon takes time—often years.
- Imagery, such as a Dragon Guardian Necklace, can be an effective bonding tool.
- A Dragon may be present for reasons known only to them.

Guys; I’m sorry to seem like I’m being very negative with what I’m about to say, but, James needs to do more research and rewrite this blog. The thing with Dragons is not that they can just be around for one reason or another or just simply be there for no reason, as the post implies; in fact it’s the exact opposite. If you can feel a Dragons presence then it’s not for any other reason than you. You are the reason the Dragon is there. See if you know anything about imprinting then you’ll also know that one of the animals that use strong imprinting are Dragons. Imprinting is when you, something, or some creature makes an immediate and un-breakable bond. So by this factual logic, it stand to reason that if you can feel the presence of a dragon, the Dragon is part of you. Yes, I said “part of you”; why? Because you can never truly own anything, whether magickal or physical, only the one true divine being that manifested the universe into being owns anything. Through the workings and dealings we have, do, and go through we pay tribute to the divine, giving thanks and asking for the right to use what is around us is part of who we are and what we do. Just like the Dragon, we must ask and give thanks for the things they can give us or lend us to use in our lives. One thing that I do agree with in James’ post is that the Dragon is there to help protect and guide you. Notice I said “help”, we as an independent being are the only ones who can chose the right path to go down in life. No one, or anything else for that matter, can tell us where to go, how to get there, and how to do the things we have to do; all of that is solely up to us. We as imperfect being, however, do need help from time to time; some more than others, but that’s not a bad thing. The Dragon is there to do just. Dragons are some of the oldest and most wisest creatures that there are. The greatest wizard in history, in at least my opinion, Merlin trusted in and dealt with, on almost a constant basis, Dragons. The wisdom he had shared with Arthur through his rule of Camelot and the things he was able to do with his magickal works were all mostly his doing along with the aid of Dragons, Owls, and Horses. So please just keep in mind that if you can feel the presence of a Dragon that reason he or she is there is for you and only you because they have imprinted on you and are willing to teach and help you as long as you are willing to hear them. One last thing before I close; anyone at any given point time is being guided by more than just one guide and guardian. Thank you for your time, and if you read this I hope you learned a little more or at least a little better about Dragons for I am speaking from experience and have mostly been relaying what my Dragon counterpart has had to say.
