Our ancestors used oils in their ceremonies and rituals during their time. What they used were essential oils, and these essential oils readily available now. In fact, we can even make our own blends today! The way our ancestors did it was by heating oil or fat and then adding fragrant herbs and flowers to the oil. For magickal purposes, it’s best to use essential oils, for they contain the magical properties of the plant, which can make your spells much stronger and much more effective.

How To Use Oils

Now there are many ways to use your oils in a ritual setting. They are highly versatile and can be rubbed on candles, amulets, necklaces, and other altar tools. What happens is the powerful energies of the oil will merge with the magickal symbolism and powerful properties of the tool.

You can even use the oils to anoint your body. Now essential oils are concentrated and can cause reactions to some people. So use them very sparingly. It is best to mix them in a carrier or base oil to dilute them. Applying the oil to your body bring you the energies of the oil. So if you rub money drawing oil or attraction oil on yourself, then you will be sure to attract money and love.

Finally, crystals, amulets, talismans and other charms anointed with the oil of your choice will turn them into items of magical power and energy. They will work with the oil to make your desires come true.
